Previously known as 'Dam Head' which was an abandoned hydroelectric plant, Reggae falls is located in the small community of Hillside in the hills of St. Thomas. After the Reggae Boyz qualified for the 1998 World Cup Dam Head was renamed to the now-famous Reggae Falls. As you step on the small stones of the river bed, the water level will typically elevate from the ankles to just above the waist, as you slowly get accustomed to its refreshing chill. The cool stream pours down from an approximately 18-meter high fall powerful enough to give a proper back massage and is said to be very therapeutic. This is a great place to take the family or a few friends for a picnic.
